“The Candle Vault is a pour your own candle making experience located in Frankfort, IL (a small suburb south of Chicago). Our brick and mortar shop is located in the towns very first bank, circa 1885. Our space is historically preserved and features the original bank vault, tile floor, tin ceiling, doors and windows all original from the 1800’s. All of our candles are made from clean-conscious and sustainable ingredients; 100% natural soy wax, organic cotton wicks and essential oil infused fragrance oils. The Candle Vault is owned and operated by husband and wife duo, Alex and John Masterson. We discovered our love for candle making while going through infertility treatment in 2020. We now have our 4 year old daughter, who is very much a part of our family business. We have always loved Michigan and recently fell in love with Traverse City when John started working for a Traverse City based company. Some of our favorite memories have been made in Traverse City and one of my 2026 goals was to bring my passion for candle making to one of my happy places. We are so grateful to have connected with Mundos, a family owned business just like ours, where we could partner to bring a curated experience to the local community. Our goal is simple to bring people together where they can get creative and make memories.”
